Sander is an independent producer and media executive specializing in premium live-action and animated content for domestic and international broadcasters, exhibitors, and distribution platforms. He also serves as a strategic advisor to television and film companies across the U.S., Europe, China, Russia, and Australia, providing expertise across the full spectrum of the global media and entertainment business. Widely recognized for his leadership in children’s and family programming, Sander currently serves on advisory boards and boards of directors for multiple emerging media companies in the kids and family space. In addition to television and film, his advisory work extends to companies operating in ancillary and adjacent markets, including gaming, edutainment, EdTech, and new media.

Over the course of his career, Sander has received multiple Emmy Award nominations from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and won an Emmy Award for his work as a producer on The Batman for Kids’ WB. His productions have also earned numerous industry honors, including the Humanitas Prize, Peabody Award, KidScreen Awards, and Prism Awards, reflecting both creative excellence and meaningful cultural impact.

From 2009 to 2013, Sander served as President of Kids and Family Entertainment at FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME), where he founded and led the company’s dedicated kids and family division. In fewer than four years, the division produced more than a dozen original series for top-tier global networks and emerged as the most prolific independent producer of children’s programming worldwide.

Previously, Sander was President of Warner Bros. Animation, where he oversaw the studio’s theatrical, television, and direct-to-video animated slate. He worked closely with Warner Bros. Pictures to develop animated feature films based on both original concepts and the studio’s iconic Looney Tunes, DC Comics, and Hanna-Barbera franchises. During his tenure, Warner Bros. Animation expanded its television output from two series to eleven in just three years. Projects under his leadership included the multiple Emmy Award–winning What’s New, Scooby-Doo?, the Emmy-nominated Xiaolin Showdown, and hit series such as Teen Titans, Justice League Unlimited, Tom and Jerry Tales, Johnny Test, and Krypto the Superdog.

Sander joined Warner Bros. from Sony Pictures Family Entertainment, where he was appointed the division’s inaugural President. In this role, he built the studio’s family and animation business across all media, launching and overseeing successful franchises including Jackie Chan Adventures, Max Steel, Dragon Tales, and Men in Black: The Series. He also founded Columbia TriStar Television Children’s Programming, leading the development, production, and distribution of more than a dozen original series for network television and syndication.

Earlier in his career, Sander served as Executive Vice President of TMS Entertainment, a subsidiary of the legendary Japanese animation studio Tokyo Movie Shinsha, further cementing his global perspective and deep roots in the international animation industry.
